I loved chatting with acclaimed nonfiction author Melissa Stewart with Porter Square Books for the virtual launch of THE SECRET CODE INSIDE YOU! On release day, September 14, I visited a few local bookstores and got to sign books while nerding out in my double-helix earrings and DNA nucleotide shirt!
THE SECRET CODE INSIDE YOU was the first picture book I ever drafted, way back in 2012! It started as a rhyming manuscript, and although I tried many times to de-rhyme it, it persisted. It was worth the wait to have this beautiful book out in the world! Steven Salerno illustrated it so beautifully!
